To maximize your Island Tactics rewards, maximize 1 march, and use 4 other weaker marches and push Island tactics to the max possible level every day at server reset time (0 UTC). If you do not reach the max level each day, then you may want to reset on a fresh server so you can get a more competitive start or invest more in your fighting marches.

Supply Bounty / Alliance Gifts / Alliance tech donation

Never let your alliance tech donations cap out or else your alliance tech will develop slower.

Maximize your Supply Bounty rewards by defeating the supply bounty challenges. Each day you can complete more challenges. You may need to use all your fighting marches to complete the challenges.

Battlefield Survivor

Complete all levels of battlefield survivor and do all the bonus activities to get all the stars and complete all the challenges and all of the additional difficulties to maximize battlefield survivor idle rewards.

Stay in the know

Age of Empires mobile is a dynamic community driven sandbox 4x game. The development of the Kingdom is in the hands of the players. Will your Kingdom work together? Or will your Kingdom be torn asunder by civil war? Stay up to date with recent developments in your Kingdom and understand what is going on and predict what may happen next.

Check your mail, specifically check the Gov. Decrees which are your alliance mails sent by R4 and R5 from your alliance.

Alliance leaders and R4 will often communicate valuable information through these Gov Decrees like upcoming wars, events, guides, and other information. You don't want to miss out on these, as an alliance that is serious about being competitive and maintaining a great alliance where people really want to be loyal will definitely make good use of the Gov Decree system.

Check your alliance markers. R5 and R4 use these to direct the alliance members to work together to complete the goals of the alliance like building flags, capturing villages, cities, gates, and signaling war efforts and other useful points of interest.

You can also zoom out and view the map to see all of the alliance markers.

Check the Rankings

Is your alliance going up? Going down? How about your personal ranking? How many whales in your alliance? How many whales in the opposing alliances? Who has more allies?

Join your alliance discord. It's much easier to communicate and strategize/organize a team on discord. It would make every leadership team's life easier if all their members would join the discord and at least check in daily.

Spend your stamina

Never let your stamina hit the cap. It's important for gaining hero experience and other useful resources.

Collect your daily bonus stamina at your Governor info page.

Use the search function to easily find Tribes.

Choose the proper unit type according to the counter system

Archers counter Swordsmen
Swordsmen counter Pikemen
Pikemen counter Cavalry
Cavalry counter Archers

Use the auto battle function and stay logged in to automatically attack tribes until all your stamina is gone. I recommend only hunting tribes with 1 march at a time. This will help you kill more tribes to complete events and Kingdom's Hoard quests.

You may also want to spend some stamina on exploration quests. Personally I only do them when they are part of an event or other quest.

Events / Rallies / Red dots

Go through your in app store and events page at the top right of the screen and clear all the red dots. There will be rewards to collect and in the events page you will find out what new objectives you'll have for the day when you take a closer look at all of the events. Pay attention to the event calendar so you can be prepared for upcoming events.

You can join 20 Black Banner Deputy rallies per day, and 5 Giant rallies per day. You can summon an unlimited amount of your own rallies per day with your own rally summon items.

You can join rallies directly from the alliance chat, or from the alliance war page, or from the main screen there will be a horn icon at the bottom left where you can quick join rallies. You can also zoom out and view your alliance hive and anyone nearby who is launching a rally will have a horn icon above their city that you can select to join the rally.

Gather resources

Increasing your resource production by all means is one of the most important aspects of Age of Empires Mobile. Once you're able to max out all of your pve content like Island tactics, supply bounty, etc. and you feel your fighting marches are strong enough, then it's time to slowly and carefully build gathering lineups. You eventually want 5 gathering lineups because they will massively increase your gathering speed but if you build these lineups too fast then you won't have enough resources to keep your fighting marches strong enough to keep maxing out all your pve content every day. So you need to invest in your gathering heroes slowly and carefully.

Queen Dido and Yi Sun Shin are not included in this spreadsheet but they can be used to make a 5th gathering march.

The most cost effective levels to get gathering lineups to are 56 and 74. Leveling beyond 74 will still increase your gathering speed but it's less cost effective so you should wait until later. In the early game you can shoot for 5 marches each at level 25. Then increase each gathering hero's levels by 10 when you're ready. Don't increase your gathering heroes levels too fast, it's important to max island tactics, supply bounty etc. so you need to invest in fighting marches first.

When the 2nd zone opens, you will be able to gather iron meteorite. Keep 1 march gathering it at all times it's important for upgrading equipment.

Personally I gather one of each type of material with 5 gathering marches.

06 Daily quests / Kingdom's Hoard

Check your daily quests, and while you're at it take your daily vip points and vip chest.

Complete your daily quests every day, of course.

Kingdom's Hoard gives great rewards for f2p and you can pay for bonus rewards. It's worth the purchase.

Completing all of the daily, weekly, and seasonal quests is easy and rewarding. If you don't miss a quest you will have more than enough points to complete all 80 levels of Kingdom's Hoard every month.

07 City development

Constructing buildings, researching technology, and training troops are the main ways to develop your city. The goal is to always keep the timers running so you're always developing.

I like to manage these affairs through this interface, but you can also do it directly from the respective buildings in your city.

There are other ways to develop your city, but they should not be done outside of events. The above methods of boosting power give a lot of points in MGE (Mightiest Governor Event).

It's always a good idea to conserve as many resources and speedups as possible for MGE.

08 Socialize :)

Age of Empires mobile is a sandbox game and that means the players are what make this game special. The quality of the players in your team can make or break the game, as well as the quality of the rest of the players in your Kingdom.

Regular players can build bonds that last for years or even become lifelong relationships. They will work together as a team and accomplish goals together and they will also go through failures together. Each individual player's story is unique and Age of Empires Mobile can be as deep or as shallow as you want it to be.

R4 and R5 will have varying degrees of experience. Some of them are beginners while others have been in leadership positions in 4X games for years. They have had great successes and they've experienced great failures and they have learned a lot along the way. They will engage in collaboration with their fellow team mates and they will engage in diplomacy with potential allies or adversaries from other alliances. Some communications will go well, dependable unions will be formed. Some communications may go sour, betrayals will happen, troops will die, drama will spin. A unique story will unfold in each Kingdom and no 2 stories will be the same.

Will you be a soldier? Or will you be a leader? Will you be a quiet slayer, or will you become infamous and the center of drama? Will you remain calm, cool, and collected under pressure to lead your alliance when your plans have been spoiled and you're looking for alternatives? Or will the pressure be too great? You may learn something about yourself. Or you may just casually spend some free time. The choice is yours in Age of Empires Mobile.
